Hair Removal Machines Compared: Diode vs Long-Pulsed Nd:YAG vs IPL
Short answer: our diode lasers (Butter and Pegasus) combine 755, 808 and 1064 nm in one handpiece; the long-pulsed laser offers 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG with a 12-inch screen and 3800 W output; the IPL systems use five filters and add photofacial and pigment treatments. How to choose
High-volume hair removal: Butter or Pegasus. Pegasus adds TEC cooling to protect the machine in warm temperatures, an upgraded android screen and higher energy density. Darker skin tones and vascular work: the long-pulsed laser’s 1064 nm wavelength penetrates deeper with reduced epidermal absorption. One machine for hair, pigment and photofacials: the IPL + Q-Switch + SHR platform.
